The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
